Campos de Sueños
Mario holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from East Carolina University. Along with his wife, Paige he served 8 years in Children’s Ministry prior to coming to the mission field. While in the U.S. Marines, he learned the value of being mission oriented and came to realize that all along God had been preparing him for a greater mission.
He felt a call from God to help feed indigenous people in need. After retiring from the U.S. Marines in 2001, Mario moved to Guatemala with his wife, Paige and daughter, Jenni and served under Living Water Ministries for 10 years as the International Evangelism Coordinator. In 2010, he felt led to serve the children and the people of Santa Maria de Jesus. He believes that it was a divine appointment that led him there and with the help of Pastor Mike Watkins, Pastor Gabriel Cuca, Rusty & Tonja Johnson and the South Tulsa Baptist Church he co-founded Campos de Sueños where he now serves as the director.
